Night (b+w, J).

J has been talking a LOT about Martin Luther King Jr. this week . . . I am so glad his teachers have taught him so much about him and what he has done for everyone in our country.  He checked out three books yesterday about him ("Mom, these are BIOGRAPHIES!") and read one aloud to me last night.  He has spoken several times this week about how shocking and terrible it was before things changed -- when people had to do things seperately just because of skin color (schools, water fountains).

A huge thanks to our schools and teachers for teaching our kids about both the way things were and then the wonderful people (MLK, Rosa Parks) that were brave and lead the way to so much change.

(I took these Monday night, when he was up telling me everything he could remember.)
