I'm so glad to be back home after being out of town for over a week...these little moments were missed!

Mr. Happy-Pants.

This guy has a school performance tomorrow and he told me in the car he was feeling shy and nervous about getting up on stage (!).  I am a) so glad he told me and b) really surprised my outgoing little J is actually nervous!  I told him I knew how it felt and he agreed that most people get stage fright :)

He is growing up...

I had the privilege of taking photos of my friend Veronica and her daughter, Holly, this past week. These are going to be used for making a Valentine's gift to their husband/daddy, if Veronica can keep it secret until then  (wink, wink!)...she, like me, has a hard time keeping fun gifts a secret!

I love the colors Veronica chose for her and Holly--bright, vibrant, and fun (like them!)....and little hearts if you look carefully, for subliminal Valentine's messages! And I am SO glad she brought along the quilt she made---Veronica started quilting last year and is so talented. It was a gorgeous background in several of the shots and so special that it was made by her (see the second to last photo here).

PS: look how gorgeous Veronica's eyes are up close!! (second to last photo) The colors are unreal. Greenish with a smattering of orange! Looks like God had a little leftover sunset he put in her eyes when He created her . . .
